Once again we had a very successful Book Week packed with activities, including Khan’s Book Fair, where €2,015 was spent yielding €500 worth of books to add to the class libraries..
Junior Infants, Senior Infants and First Class enjoyed being read to by our retired teachers, Mrs. Leech, Mrs. Murphy and Mrs. O' Connor. The pupils from First Class to Fifth Class visited Dubray Bookshop in the Market Cross where they heard authors read from their books and speak about their writing experiences. Afterwards , they were able to chat to the authors and ask lots of questions. They then exchanged their World Book Day tokens for one of the lovely titles published especially for the week. Many thanks to the staff of Dubray Books for being so welcoming. Later on, the children went to the Castle Park, with some of them even getting to complete the Board Walk by the River Nore!
