There was great excitement on Friday, October 9th, as we celebrated Kilkenny Day, which was organised by Kilkenny County Council. Ninety two children and three teachers cycled to school on a lovely fine morning. Many arrived in convoy after meeting up along the way and several were accompanied by parents on bicycles or following in cars. The black and amber was on display as the pupils proudly supported their county. The loudest cheer of the morning was reserved for Mr. O' Gorman, Mr. Scully and Mr. Mulally, who made a grand entrance together, though we don't think Sam Bennett, winner of the Tour de France Green Jersey, has anything to worry about, just yet!
