Well done to the pupils from First Class whose project about 1916 was awarded 1st place in their category of the” Decade of Commemoration History Project” run by the Kilkenny Education Centre. Representatives of the class received the beautiful trophy in an Awards Ceremony in County Hall on Feb 22nd.
Congratulations also to Luke Phelan from Fourth Class who was selected as one of the Education Centre winners for his entry to the All Ireland 2016 Art Competition. The theme of the competition was Ireland in 100 years. Luke's entry was called "Global Warming" and depicted prominent Dublin buildings surrounded by water! Luke was presented with his cheque and certificate at the same event.
Many thanks to their teachers for encouraging them to get involved.
