The pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th class went to Gowran Park.
First we saw John Hanlon and his race horse ‘Hitting Cyclone’ Then we went onto the racetrack, we saw the starting stalls and some students got their photo taken by a man from Healy photographers.
Next we met a lady who talked to us about horse racing. We also met Katie, a representative from R.A.C.E who told us about their riding school and some students rode their horse simulator.
After that we went into the weigh rooms and met Rachel Blackmore and David Mullins. They told us about their gear for their races. Lastly we got goodie bags and a group photo. Overall it was a very good day.
