On the 20th of February a nun named Sr. Nuala came to our school to teach us in 5th and 6th class about what the Franciscan Missionary Sisters do.
She told us she lived in India for 27 years and that she would go back there any day. She said even though they have very little in the developing world, they are still as happy as us. Most have them will never get an education or a proper job because they must work in sweat shops but they still are as happy as us.
They don’t know that we have so much more compared to them. Children as young as 4 years of age and up are working in factories and working with animals. They do this to make money for dinner for their families. The most money a person can get is 1 euro a day and that is for the adults. Sr. Nuala and the other nuns give money to the parents of these young children so their children can get an Education.
It was amazing learning about other countries that aren’t as well off as us.
