Our thoughts on ‘Something Fishy’
It was an amazing experience that I think we all will remember throughout our lives.
I had a fear of fish until I picked one up, for me I wasn’t scared until I felt how slimy it was.
We learned a lot that day and even got some information books and a ruler. When we got into the river we were trying not to get our feet wet but at the end of the day we may as well have been swimming!
I would not have ever thought about trying out fishing until the man told me I was a natural, I might even go out fishing with my grandad now, I can show off everything I learned!
When we first got to the river it looked as if we wouldn’t catch any fish at all until they took over and showed us that there are so many creatures that we wouldn’t expect in the Gowran river, we even found a baby leech!
Doing ‘Something fishy’ really was very interesting and extremely fun at the same time!
