Boys’ Football Mini-League Final 23/11/2017
The ball was thrown in and immediately Ben Phelan got the ball and scored. After a few minutes it was 2-2 to no score. Andrews’s team were shocked by how Tommy’s team started but they quickly came back with a goal and a point. Then Donnacha Convery scored 2 goals to put Tommy’s team 4-2 to 1-1 ahead at half time. Half time passed quickly and the ball was thrown in a minute later. Ben batted the ball down and ran the length of the pitch and scored another great goal. Andrews’s team quickly reacted with a goal and a point from Bobbie Brennan this closed the margin but there was only a few minutes for Andrews’s team to come back. With 2 minutes left Andrews’s team scored a goal. It was now 5-2 to 3-2. Then Tommy’s team came back and scored a point to finish the game off. The referee blew the whistle and it was all over. Tommy’s team won on a score line of 5-3 to 3-2.

players on each team. The captains are James Drennan, Eddie Gittens, Kieran
Carey and Jack O’ Byrne.
Each team had 3 games each before the quarter and semi-finals. The

The Boys journey 2013
Allianz/Cumann na mBunscoil
Oil Roinn B football league
Gowran N.S. started out with a great start to the league, drawing with Graigue/Skeogh in the first
round on the 11th of September
on our pitch. In the second round we had a bye so nothing interesting
about that.
In the third round
we lost to KSP by about 2 goals on their pitch . In the fourth round we played
Dunnamaggin , it was a hard battle
to the end on a wet miserable day but we broke away at the end and won the match
on our home pitch . In the fifth round we played Gaelscoil
on their pitch, everybody played brilliantly as
we hammered them.
In the sixth round we played home against Bennetsbridge and we
had a terrible loss, it was a real disappointment .
In the seventh round we played Canices B team and we won that
too.
The coaches of our team were Miss Phelan, Miss
Hayes and Miss Murphy. They were very committed at helping
us with our league so far this year!!!

Boy's Mini-League 2012
The boys played a school league amongst themselves. There were 4 teams and 8 on each team. The captains were Jack Brennan, Michael Walsh, Charles Farrell and Dan Nevin.
Jack and Michael’s team played first. Jack’s team won by just one point with Jack Brennan getting the goal to win the match.
The next match was between Charles and Dan. Charles’ team was trailing Dan’s team for the whole match. But in the last ten seconds of the match Seamus Farrell stepped up to take a free. It went in to the back of the net, and Charles’ team won by two points .
So the final day came. It was a sunny day. Charles’ team got a goal to start, with Jason Brennan scoring the first two points. But Jack returned with a goal and a point. Charles’ team were trailing by a lot at half time. Jack’s team dominated the second half. Charles’ team only scored one point coming from Charles. The final score was 0-3 to 4-10. Charles’ team were devastated. It was a very good year for football. And a very good mini- league for Gowran N.S.
