One lovely sunset evening my younger brother and I brought Conor our dog for a walk when he saw a fox and sprinted after it. We tried to run after him but he was too fast. We called his name but there was no answer. We decided to go home through the big dark forest to see if he was there but he wasn’t. My brother was crying sadly for a day or two and then something amazing happened. We were out on a cycle when we saw the back of a dog’s paw wedged between two trees. My brother and I sprinted to see what it was and it was Conor. We gave him a huge hug breathed a sigh of relief.

A brilliant story from this week's special 100WC prompt! I am so struck by the relationship and bond between the two brothers and the dog. The pace and emotion of the story really drew me in and I too was concerned for Conor! Your description of seeing 'the back of a dog's paw wedged between two trees.' was great! I too gave a huge sigh of relief when Conor was rescued!
