As the name of the challenge suggests, pupils are provided with a prompt on which to focus their writing, with an approximate limited of one hundred words. (Only the teacher (me!) moderates this so it is not a strict rule that is enforced!). Sometimes, editing your work to delete the less important information is a great way to improve the overall standard of writing.
Would you believe, this week's prompt was chosen by a pupil in our school!! We are so excited!!
Just write something (story, opinion piece or reflection!) with the prompt image below:
We would also encourage you to read the 100 word stories of other pupils and submit a positive comment to provide them feedback! You can comment by clicking under a story in this blog.
All comments will be approved by the administrator of this blog before being published.
If you wish to see the work of our pupils on the 100 Word Challenge website (and that of other pupils internationally!), click the following link: https://100wc.net/ (Make sure you scroll down a little to see the latest prompt and click on 'Read More' to see the links). We also usually have a student (or two!) showcased by the 100 Word Challenge committee each week so check out https://100wc.net/category/special-showcase/ to see our students shine!
