Before I had time to think, the shadow grabbed me and ‘we disappeared into the night...’
I was watching the news when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. It was a small shadow. I excused myself from the room and I pulled on my coat. I raced out the door, following the shadow up the road. After a few minutes I flung off my coat, boiling hot after chasing the shadow. I was about to follow it when I thought to myself, ‘but should I really do this?’
Before I had time to think, the shadow grabbed me and ‘we disappeared into the night...’

Absolutely nerve wraking

A great use of both prompts, Lucy! What a brave character... I'm not sure I would have overcome the nerves to chase the unknown! I love how when we think the chase is up, it takes an unexpected twist! Leaving these 100WC challenges as a cliff hanger is a great idea... hook the reader, build the curiousity and then 'boom'! Well done Lucy!
