One day after school, I settled down to do my homework as usual. There was a knock on the door so I tiptoed downstairs to answer it. To my surprise no one was there so I just continued my homework. As the door slammed, I knew someone was in the house. It couldn’t be my mam, dad or sister because they were away so who could it be? I was petrified. Out from under the coat stand  came A CAT?! One that I’d often see roaming around .I was so glad it was only a cat.

This was one of the most exciting days of my life! I was going to the biggest fun park in Europe.
My family and I arrived at roughly around one o’clock.

The first thing I saw was a big roller-coaster. It was black with red stripes on it. It was also taller than the tower of Pisa and faster than the dart train in Dublin.

Once I saw it moving, I sprinted straight to the line. It was long but it moved quickly. As the seatbelt clicked into place, the door slammed. I knew it was going to be exhilarating!

A Mysterious Friday
Every Friday my mum goes to work in the local restaurant. My brother usually minds me but today he was at the cinema, so I had to stay home alone for a 20 mins, Jack was back in a short time anyway.

When mum left a creepy feeling fell over me. Suddenly I heard knocking on the door it was not jack as his knock is much louder.
I was immediately alarmed when I heard the door open slowly , it was so quiet I could barely hear it open. Then all of a sudden it creaked … as the door slammed , and I knew it wasn’t Mum or Jack, it was someone else.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I can’t wait. All the invitations are sent out. The cake is made and everything is prepared. My brother called me to come and out and play soccer so I grabbed the ball ran out after him. He pushed the door and as the door slammed I knew I had damaged a bone. I got in the car and my mam drove me to the hospital. I found out I had broken my foot. My party was cancelled and now I have to hop around on crutches for the next couple of months.

ZLATAN
One day I met a boy called Zlatan from Sweden. Zlatan was a very self-confident boy. He was also very good at football. He was brilliant at finishing and dribbling especially, but he had a reputation for stealing and selling bikes.

The day I met Zlatan, I was riding my bike home from school when I fell off! I thought he`d steal it so I ran inside my home and as the door slammed, I knew it was safe.

When I went outside he was there asking to play football. Since then he just played football with me so no more bikes were stolen or sold.

What will we do ?
As my Mam left to go to work, I was left alone I was scared and worried that something could happen. So I just turned on the TV and was eating my breakfast. When the door slammed I knew that something had happened.

My mam came in to the room. She screamed at me to follow her. I asked her why but she never answered. I was pulled down to the basement and told to be quiet, that were people coming to coming to harm us. So I just had to stay there all night...

The Haunted House

Last Halloween, I went trick or treating with my friends. Everyone gave us yummy treats. I said we’d go to one more house. I knocked on the dilapidated blue door. “Trick or treat!” we all shouted. “Go away,” an old man said. As the door slammed, I knew something was up, I decided to investigate. Next day, I tiptoed into his yard and looked through the dirty window. He was in there washing dishes. I swiftly ducked my head. Suddenly I heard something behind me, it was a ghost! I got up and sprinted down the lane. Now I know why everyone says that house is haunted.

I am in Disney land and I am scared for my life. This is what happened.

I was in Disney land with my family. We were on the last ride of the day. It was a haunted house ride. Half way through the ride my brother pushed me. I fell over the side of the cart. The ride was going so fast that no one could save me. As the door slammed, I knew my family were finished the ride. A few seconds later I heard the loud speaker .The park was closed and I was there for the night.

I was in my house with my friends John and Daniel. We were going to the haunted house. The door was locked but I found a hole in the side of the spooky house.

In the house there was a lot of rooms and it was huge. Was it safe? I looked behind me. John and Daniel were standing there. The door was open and a scary clown was down at the bottom of the stairs.

I ran outside and it was mysteriously the morning. I ran and ran until I got to the river. There I saw a frightening scene. There were my wellies, upside down, sticking out of the water!

As hurricane Ophelia was hitting are shores on Monday morning, people were getting everything organised, with high winds forecast when I was watching the news. Once the storm had passed, we all went down to the river. There were wellies in the water. It looked like a person was under water and the wellies were up over the water.

What a weird sight it was. I really didn't know what to make of it. Nobody else seemed to notice so I just didn't say a word. But I took a photo and then tried to think of what might have happened other than the worst...
