As the name of the challenge suggests, pupils are provided with a prompt on which to focus their writing, with an approximate limited of one hundred words. (Only the teacher (me!) moderates this so it is not a strict rule that is enforced!). Sometimes, editing your work to delete the less important information is a great way to improve the overall standard of writing.
This week, they have given us a choice between two prompts (see below).
Prompt one: You must include this sentence somewhere in your story. Prompt two: Include these words within your story.
Prompt One
…’ It doesn’t matter what you think, does it?’…
Prompt Two
Sign Kick Hole Flower Sun
It is not very strict so don't worry too much if this is your first time to do it! If you wish to submit a story, email MsTighe17@gmail.com. The stories will not be edited but will be read before they are posted. For the stories to be posted on the 100 Word Challenge website (see link below), the deadline is Friday at 8pm. No deadline for a story to be added to the school blog. If this is too difficult, just go back and do last weeks. A new prompt comes each Sunday evening.
We would also encourage you to read the 100 word stories and submit a positive comment to provide feedback! You can comment by clicking under a story in this blog.
All comments will be approved by the administrator of this blog before being published.
