As the moon arose there was an eerie silence.
Lilly ambled through the forest while watching her step. As the tale went “If you dare explore the forest at night, you will never return”. While Lilly was climbing under a bow of a tree she leaped to the sound of a bloodcurdling howl.Without thought, she hastened back to her home as fast as possible where she knew she was safe. She lay in bed in shock. Not knowing what to do, she tucked herself under the covers.
And my god, she would never return to the forest AGAIN!

Very impressive story Orla! You hooked me from your first sentence... the structure of it and the word 'eerie'! Love that word! And your fantastic vocabulary continued... 'ambled, dare, bloodcurdling, hastened, tucked; It built the story beautifully! Your sentence structures set the pace for the reader and the varying between long and short sentences really conveyed the character's emotions. A fantastic narrative Orla. Well done!
