This Sunday Sam was VERY lucky. He was preparing to run for the local election. Sam was going around the town to put up a sign. He found the perfect spot: flowers were surrounding it and the sun was beaming down on it. Everyone who passed by was bound to see it. He placed the sign down gently on the lush grass. As soon as he was walking away, he saw a man walking to it which Sam thought was good. But he kicked it and put it down a hole. Sam thought to himself “It doesn’t matter what you think, does it?” Soon after, Sam found the best spot to lay down the sign.

A great story Orla! I really enjoyed this as it draws from your experience of the national elections in February but more importantly of not reacting to a negative experience (man kicking the posters) with more negativity! It shows that we have some control over how we respond to the behaviour of others!
