Finally, Carl Edmunds, the greatest explorer and viola player who ever lived, had found the lost city of El Dorado. The ancient city was famous for its iconic buildings and most importantly, its gold. Carl had spent the larger part of 4 years searching for this amazing city and finally he had done it. The city was concealed behind a large waterfall in Peru, where Carl had battled his way through raging waters and more than one alligator. He had found his way through the deserted streets, taking pictures along the way. He rounded a corner and caught sight of the most beautiful building of all: the temple. Its breathtaking beauty far outmatched the buildings surrounding it. Carl took multiple photos of the outstanding building and then headed home with his camera to show the National Archaeological Association, where they gifted him with a a substantial award of money. He was later knighted and was from the on known as Sir Carl Edmunds.

Honestly Kieran, I was so enthralled by your story that I had forgotten I was reading a 'story' and was reading it as an historical factual account! I do realise on second reading that some of the details should have hinted at it being fictional but I was so caught up in the engaging language, rich vocabulary and dramatic narrative! I also did a little googling of 'El Dorado' and was very intrigued by the mystery of it all. A superb 100WC challenge, Kieran... as always!

If you choose to continue to develop as a writer, I feel you have a real future in this realm.
