It was the dead of night. My scout group were camping in the murky moors it was my first official camping trip with the cub-scouts. A full moon shone bright in the sky. Wiff,waft,whoosh........ escaped from the tent.I tumbled out of the tent gasping for fresh air.It was like a bomb just hit us. Splish, splash, splosh, squelch the muck and rainwater oozed between my toes. Baked beans for tea?(not sure it was a good idea) Magic,mushy,memories-i might pack a gas mask next time.

What a cracking story, James! I love the humour disguised as a dramatic event! I read it to my four year old and he loved it! Totally got the action! You used terrific figurative language... onomatopoeia, alliteration, simile, and personification! A skillfully written story and a quite memoriable one too! Well done, James!
