I woke up and looked out the window to see a beautiful crisp morning, so I decided to go for a walk. After I got my dog ready to go, I packed a bag with water and fruit and some little dog treats. We started walking. We walked past fields, dogs, and a crowd of people. We were walking for a half an hour not knowing where we were going. Then we got to this beautiful, amazing river. There were lovely stones, branches and everything. Me and my dog stayed there for a while, it was so nice.

Ah Doireann! What I loved about your writing was it took me back to many lovely simple walks I have taken through the countryside. Going off the beaten track and enjoying nature, undisturbed by people! Having grown up in the West of Ireland, your description of lovely stones and branches transported me back there to a specific spot! We have special stone walls that were build in famine time! I have never had a dog but your writing shows me the bond between dogs and their owners and makes me feel I am missing out!!
A great piece of writing, Doireann! Well done!
