Once there was a dog, he lived in Waterford. His family and other people loved him. One day a mean man called the pound on him for barking. The next day the pound came to get the dog. The dogs family hid him in the garage, but the pound found him and cornered him. But a little kid hit the man with a tennis racket. The man turned around and said "what was that for?". He turned back around and the dog was gone. The dog ran as fast as he could, and found himself at a nice peaceful lake.

This is my first story to read that gives me a background story to how the dog found himself at the lake! What an excellent use of the prompt picture! The story is well written and very easy for the reader to understand! I was intrigued to learn of the pound coming to the house and trying to detain the dog. I am so glad the dog escaped as barking is only the vocal way a dog communicates and it would be like us being arrested for laughing too loud or shouting! Well done, Daniel, a terrific first 100WC!

Goodness me Daniel, what an eventful life this dog and his family lead. I wonder what name you might give him? It was interesting to read about the 'pound' - that's not something we have here in Yorkshire. What does the pound do with the dogs that they capture? No, wait. Don't tell me, just in case it distresses me.
Well done and keep rising to the Challenge.
