Walking to the shop for ice-cream a car pulled up beside me and a friendly looking man asked “Do you know where the nearest garage is?”.  “Straight out this road on the left” I replied.  “Want a lift?” he offered.  I was enjoying my walk so I declined.  “Jump in and I’ll buy you some sweets to say thanks” he said.  This made me uncomfortable so I began to walk away.  But the car drove slowly along beside me and the now not-so-friendly man was beginning to scare me.  That’s when I knew I should run and I did.  I ran to my friend’s house just across the road where I was safe.

Wow Anna... you had my heart racing and a not so nice, anxious, feeling grew as I read. Yet writing should do that sometimes.. make the reader uncomfortable. It is also a vital role of writers to educate the reader on important decision making skills. It was definitely time to run and not to be concerned with anything else. A brilliant story Anna. Well done!

What a story! A lot of suspense but what a great story and a great message at the end.
