As the name of the challenge suggests, pupils are provided with a prompt on which to focus their writing, with an approximate limited of one hundred words. (Only the teacher (me!) moderates this so it is not a strict rule that is enforced!). Sometimes, editing your work to delete the less important information is a great way to improve the overall standard of writing.
Would you believe, this week's prompt was chosen by a pupil in our school!! We are so excited!!
Just write something (story, opinion piece or reflection!) with the sentence below:
Prompt:
…that’s when I knew I should run…
It is not very strict so don't worry too much if this is your first time to do it! If you wish to submit a story, email your story to MsTighe17@gmail.com. The stories will not be edited but will be read before they are posted. For the stories to be posted on the 100 Word Challenge website (see link below), the deadline is Friday at 8pm. No deadline for a story to be added to the school blog. A new prompt comes each Sunday evening.
We would also encourage you to read the 100 word stories of other pupils and submit a positive comment to provide them feedback! You can comment by clicking under a story in this blog.
All comments will be approved by the administrator of this blog before being published.
