As the name of the challenge suggests, pupils are provided with a prompt on which to focus their writing, with an approximate limited of one hundred words. (Only the teacher (me!) moderates this so it is not a strict rule that is enforced!). Sometimes, editing your work to delete the less important information is a great way to improve the overall standard of writing.
This week's prompt is difficult!
It is to write anything you like that comes from your imagination after seeing/studying the following picture:
If anyone would like to research the exact historical connection of this cultural artwork, google 'Terracotta Warriors'.. it's a very interesting part of Chinese history!
It is not very strict so don't worry too much if this is your first time to do it! If you wish to submit a story, email MsTighe17@gmail.com. The stories will not be edited but will be read before they are posted. For the stories to be posted on the 100 Word Challenge website (see link below), the deadline is Friday at 8pm. No deadline for a story to be added to the school blog. If this is too difficult, just go back and do last weeks. A new prompt comes each Sunday evening.
We would also encourage you to read the 100 word stories and submit a positive comment to provide feedback! You can comment by clicking under a story in this blog.
All comments will be approved by the administrator of this blog before being published.
